SterilAmp II® Biological Indicator for Steam (Log 4)

SterilAmp II® is a small, sealed, glass ampoule containing a prepared media of Soybean-Casein Digest Broth and Bromocresol Purple pH indicator which is inoculated with sterilization-resistant spores. When the ampoule is incubated at the appropriate temperature, the organism will grow. The physical characteristic showing growth is a color change from purple to or toward yellow and/or turbidity.

SterilAmp II is a compact, self-contained biological indicator used to monitor the efficacy of steam sterilization processes of liquids. SterilAmp II comes in 2 convenient sizes.The smaller size also allows the units to be placed inside thermowells to effectively monitor Sterilization-in-Place (SIP) of product transport lines and filling machines.
