Miller-Luria-Bertani MLB media is a growth medium used to cultivate and propagate E. coli and other gram-negative bacteria in microbiology laboratories. It contains a mixture of nutrients and the antibiotic ampicillin and is used by transferring a bacterial culture to the medium and incubating it at the appropriate temperature. MLB media is commonly used for genetic engineering, protein expression, and biotechnology production, and is useful in the study of bacterial physiology and genetics.
